Description
Proven Group One sire SMART MISSILE is the sire of 23 individual Stakes winners, an honor roll that includes names such as Spring Champion Stakes winner MAID OF HEAVEN, Euclase Stakes winner I’LL HAVE A BIT, Thousand Guineas Prelude winner SMART MELODY, etc. Smart Missile also boasts an enviable winner to runners’ strike rate of 67.3%.
Ipswich Cup winner SMART METEOR and Group Two Thousand Guineas Prelude winner SMART MELODY both carry ENCOSTA DE LAGO blood, as does this colt who is out of a mare by a son of this Champion Sire. Smart Missile nicks extremely well with Encosta de Lago, producing 75% winners to runners.
This colt’s dam Bella Deluxe is a two-time winner over 1600m and she is a half-sister to the very smart Stakes-performed Sprinter/Miler Balaabel, who was a $520,000 Easter yearling. Bella Deluxe’s two-year-old half-brother sold for $500,000 at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale. Now named Cape Size, he is in the stable of leading trainer Michael Freedman.

This colt is offered for genuine sale UNRESERVED sale as the owner is reducing stock numbers. Whilst this colt has not had a formal yearling preparation, he has had basic handling. He is easy to trim, drench and handle. He has been given time to mature and is now ready to be broken in, he is photographed in paddock condition.
