Description
Lehndorff is a lightly raced 3yo bay Colt, previously trained by Mark Newnham at Randwick. Mark has since moved to Hong Kong to train.
His bloodlines are a culmination of the best sires in the Southern and Northern Hemisphere, he is by the Champion Australian Sire SNITZEL, out of the well-related European Champion Sire DUBAWI mare, in Veruschka.
From only 7 starts, Lehndorff claimed his maiden victory on the 22nd of October at Kembla Grange beating the John Sargent-trained progressive galloper, Casual Connection, who has since gone on the claim and place in multiple races.
Of 4YO male racehorses alone, SNITZEL is the sire of 20 SW, 13 GW and 4 individual G1 winners such as RUSSIAN REVOLUTION, REDZEL, TRAPEZE ARTIST and WILD RULER
In terms of DUBAWI as a Broodmare Sire, these too also get better with time. His 4YO achievements include 17 SW, 9 GW including the G1 winner NAZEEF.
Given his bloodlines, racing style and form, we strongly believe that Lehndorff will excel with age and more time.
