Description
REBEL COUNTY has been a good fun horse for his owners over the past few racing seasons.
He recorded 3 race wins and 3 placings from his 14 starts and $90,480.
His record should read better.
He has won on a Good track but prefers the soft track conditions with his record on rain affected tracks being 7 starts 2 wins & 2 placings.
Rebel deliberately had his preparation planned around the winter racing months to help find those soft tracks that he loves. As you can see from his form this prep, his two runs on Good 4 surfaces have been mediocre but his run on the Soft 5 at Newcastle was outstanding.
The wetter the better for this boy and he would make an ideal horse for Victoria or South Australia over the Winter months. Alternatively, he could suit someone in regional NSW if the tracks receive some rain.
Our owners now accept that as a rising 5yo, that is not destined for metro racing and is proving difficult to place on these firm tracks, it’s time to say goodbye. He jarred up on the firm Newcastle surface and has been spelling since, a good freshen and alternative training would help Rebel County find his mojo again.
