Description

Super Salsa is a lightly raced gelding having had just 7 starts. He was building nicely to winning form in the Great Southern during their season just completed, and was a winner at Albany two starts ago when leading all the way. He had excuses last time out when unplaced at Belmont Park. The Stewards Report read: 'Raced fiercely when leading and was unable to be settled despite the efforts of its rider. Compounded from the 400m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised the gelding will now be sent for a spell.'

He went far too fast early in that race as the jockey couldn't hold him, and it was little surpise that he give ground. Afterwards, he was found to have multiple abrasions in his mouth and was obviously in discomfort. So, if draw a line through that run, you'll have a nice horse to be going with. He's a big strong horse who's no problem to have around the stable. He'll be a nice horse next prep for a regional trainer.
