Writey O'pal is a lightly raced son of champion sire Written Tycoon. He won comfortably on debut before being on a hot speed second up in a race that had multiple stakes placed runners in it and a race where he beat dual stakes winner SERADESS . In his next preparation he started $6 against stakes winner STAR PATROL.

He's a very talented horse with lots of ability but last preparation nothing went to plan after a poor ride first up he then made a slight noise in the wind. He's had tieback surgery since the last preparation and has been terrific with no issues since coming back in training and no reports from the jockeys of making any noise under pressure.

He didn't handle the heavy track at his last start and is better than the 6th suggests
