WEANLING COLT BY STAR TURN
For unreserved sale is a chestnut weanling colt by highly promising young stallion Star Turn.
Star Turn is a stallion doing a fantastic job at stud. His winners to runners ratio of 70.7% is elite and one of the best in the county, which is backed up by average progeny earnings of close to $95,000.
He is the sire of 7 Stakes winners and a further 8 Stakes horses from only 3 racing crops which includes Gr.1 winner STARTANTES, Gr.3 winners ALSEPHINA who has Gr.1 Spring targets and CORDYCEPS SIX, as well as highly promising Stakes winning 2YO SALTAIRE who also has a big spring ahead.
Most importantly people like buying his yearlings. This year alone his yearlings have sold up to $440,000, $250,000, $240,000 etc. With progeny from ever improving books of mares to come, this makes for a highly promising period ahead.
Being a mid-November foal, he has plenty of improvement in him with time. As per the attached x-ray report, he has a low risk prognosis.
He is out of Fastnet Rock mare Volga who has very strong prospects of improving her produce record with a 2YO Deep Field filly in work with Team Hawkes a yearling colt also by Deep Field who was purchased for $180,000 at this year’s Magic Millions yearling sale.
Star Turn has a strong record with Fasntet Rock, with this cross producing 6 winners from 9 runners including Gr.3 winner CORDYCEPS SIX and Gr.3 placed 2YO Astrologer.
