Tavivalley presents an opportunity to acquire a young, imposing and quality mare in foal ( with a mid September foaling date, based on her LSD) to the exciting stallion, Harry Angel (IRE) who first crop of southern hemisphere 2yos have hit the ground running with 7 winners, 3 stake winners from only 19 starters to date, which has him placed in the top two first season sires list for winners and stakes horses. Harry Angel (IRE) is fully booked for the upcoming breeding season at the increased service fee $33000 (inc GST) with a significant wait list of a number of breeders to have a mare booked into the stallion.

Tavivalley is a quality mare, standing 161/2 hands and herself being by Tavistock ( who is now being sort after as a broodmare sire) was a NZ$150000 at the 2019 NZB Karaka Yearling Sale and has a very good pedigree, her dam, Leigh Valley was a group 3 winner and Tavivalley’s half sister, Valley Girl is a Group 1 winner. This family line is very commercial with progeny of Leigh Valley selling for NZ$320000, NZ$170000, NZ$165000 etc and Valley Girl progeny selling up to NZ$500000 in the sales ring, the family is continuing to be bred up with recent coverings to stallions like The Autumn Sun and Savabeel.

Tavivalley is a pleasure to have on farm with a great disposition and temperament, an easy mare to do anything with, good in crush, vaccinate, drench, farrier etc and has no vices, the mare has proven to be very fertile in her breeding career to date going in foal at first cover for both her of services. The mare proved to be a great first time dam, providing plenty of colostrum and milk to her first foal and nurtured the foal from day one.

Tavivalley’s first foal, a filly by the ill fated stallion, Spieth (NZ) is a good size and shape, very correct and good colour similar to her dam and is to be aimed at the select yearling sales in 2024.

This mare would an ideal addition to any broodmare band, being by Tavistock out of a Bianconi mare represents a good out cross to a large number of stallions available in Australia and has only been offered for genuine sale as the owners, who originally purchased this mare as they had a breeding share in Spieth, have decided to reluctantly sell Tavivalley as they are retiring from breeding.
