Siring seven individual Stakes winners in Australia in 2022-23, PRIDE OF DUBAI was one of the leading Australian sires for 2022-23, ahead of the likes of WRITTEN TYCOON, DEEP FIELD, STREET BOSS, MAURICE, CAPITALIST, EXCCED AND EXCEL, RUSSIAN REVOLUTION, EXTREME CHOICE, etc. Among his seven Stakes winners were the Group One winners DUBAI HONOUR and BELLA NIPOTINA. With a Timeform rating of 127+, DUBAI HONOUR was the highest-rated horse in Australia last season.

This colt is out of the regally-bred FASTNET ROCK mare STARS ARE OUT. A daughter of the Stakes-winning Miler MOON IS UP, Stars Are Out is a half-sister to the Group One winner AMANEE, and to the prolific Stakes producer Sun Is Up. Among Sun Is Up’s Stakes winning progeny is Group One Breeders’ Cup Mile winner KARAKONITIE.

PRIDE OF DUBAI had had 15 runners from FASTNET ROCK mares and four of them (over 26.7%) are Stakes performers, and include Stakes winning Sprinter QUEEN OF DUBAI, who, like this colt, was bred at Coolmore by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.
