Description
Fastnet Rock mare offered in foal to first season sire CAPTIVANT. This mare is from the wonderful pedigree of SAMAREADY and EXHILARATES which includes this years Golden Slipper winner SHINZO.
The mare has good size and strength excellent feet and is an easy breeder. Her first foal by Castelvecchio is presently in the hands of Te Akau racing in NZ and is coming through the system well with reports suggesting he looks early. Te Akau is a leading NZ stable with an unbelievable record in the Karaka Millions. He was such a good type he sold for $145,000 as a weanling and then sold for $200,000 at the Karaka Yearling Sale this year. The mare has a Hanseatic weanling being set for yearling sales and was covered by Captivant.
Captivant is the best son of Champion 2yo Capitalist from one of Australasias fastest moving and most commercial sirelines. He had a time form rating of 121 following his outstanding performance in the Caulfield Guinea’s his first foals should be well sort.
This mare has a lovely temperament is easy to handle through the crush and is good for the farrier.
Please note she underwent colic surgery in November and has not had any post surgical issues. The pregnancy has been checked routinely with no abnormalities.
She has no vices or any other health concerns.
