After placing at his first two outings, LIANGELO showed some real grit to stick his head out and claim his maiden win over 1300m at Newcastle on Saturday. Sicilian Miss, now the dam of two winners, is offered in foal carrying a full relation.

Sicilian Miss is by Encosta de Lago’s ill fated son, Northern Meteor. She is a half sister to VRC Wakeful Stakes G2 Winner and now producer Tiamo Grace. Sicilian Miss is from Sicile, a sister to Stakes Placed Santa Ataga and half sister to Stakes Winners Common World and Speciale. Sicile is also half sister to the dams of Stakes Winner Elegant Composure and VRC Myer Classic G1 Winner I Am A Star. There is an abundance of black type as you look down the pedigree page.

Sicilian Miss has produced three foals to race. Her first live foal, Lamelo (by Headwater) is lightly raced to date and is in the Ben Smith Stable. Alenia (by Astern) is a winner and still racing. Liangelo (3yo by Hellbent) has had two starts so far for a very close third on debut followed by an unlucky second after blowing the start at his second run. Her yearling filly by Hellbent is being retained by the owners and she has a weanling colt by Astern.
