ASTERN is the only Australian stallion to sire two individual Group 1 winning three-year-olds this season: G1 Caulfield Guineas winner GOLDEN MILE and G1 Australasian Oaks winner AFFAIRE A SUIVRE. This attractive, good moving colt is from NORTHERN METEOR daughter, SICILIAN MISS. SICILIAN MISS has produced two winners to date, the most recent being the progressive and quite impressive LIANGELO. After a third and a second at his first two starts, LIANGELO showed some real grit to stick his head out and win at his third attempt (Newcastle July 8).

SICILIAN MISS is a half-sister to G2 VRC Wakeful Stakes winner TIAMO GRACE. She is from SICILE, a sister to Stakes Placed SANTA ATAGA and a half-sister to Stakes Winners COMMON WORLD and SPECIALE.
