Description
VARTOLOMEI (FR) is an attractive 4yo French bred mare from the DANEHILL DANCER mare VIDIYNA, by the Champion French sire LE HAVRE. This filly has plenty to offer both on the race track and in the breeding barn!
LE HAVRE (IRE) is a prominent sire having produced stakes horses around the globe with 58 individual stakes winners (7% stakes winners to runners). His G1 female horses include Ascot Champion Fillies and Mares Stakes winner WONDERFUL TONIGHT, as well as G1 Chantilly Prix de Diane winners LA CRESSONNIERE and AVENIR CERTAIN.
VARTOLOMEI has had just the 9 starts to date for a win, a second placing and a third placing, so has every opportunity to work her way through the grades for her new owners. VARTOLOMEI hails from a prominent French family with her dam VIDIYNA being a half-sister to the Champion 3yo Stayer in France and Champion Older Male Stayer in France in that of VAZIRABAD who had an incredible 15 wins and over $1.2 million euro in prizemoney; taking out wins and placings at stakes level a phenomenal 18 times! VIDIYNA is also a half-sister to the stakes winning and multiple Group placed VISORIYNA.
The family also includes recent Australian stakes winner VISINARI who prior being purchased to race down under placed in the G2 Newmarket July Stakes before taking out the Listed VRC Paris Lane Handicap and placing third in the Listed Cranbourne Cup.
The family is bulging with international stakes winners including Champion Miler in France VARENAR, as well as VISINDAR, VISORAMA, VISIONARY, VISIONARIO, DANON MAJOR amongst others.
