Description
OLE KIRK YEARLING FILLY FROM HALF TO MULTIPLE GROUP WINNER MELLA MARIA
This filly is the first foal from the winning Sebring mare Astralis. Astralis is out of Gr.2 placed Sayahailmary and is a half-sister to Gr.2 winner MELLA MARIA. Covered in 2022 by Bivouac, Mella Maria has a Fastnet Rock 2YO colt and Snitzel yearling colt to come giving strong prospects of pedigree updates.
Astralis was a $450,000 Easter Yearling herself and is a daughter of prolific broodmare sire Sebring, who is the damsire of 6 individual Stakes winners including Gr.1 winner ON THE BUBBLES, Gr.3 winner FULL VELOCITY, Listed winners FRANKIE PINOT, HE’S EXCEPTIONAL etc and a further 13 Stakes horses.
Astralis is currently in foal to Gr.1 Champion and highly promising young stallion Too Darn Hot.
This filly is from the first crop of Written Tycoon’s Gr. 1 Golden Rose and Caulfield Guineas winner Ole Kirk. First crop weanlings by Champion 3yo Ole Kirk recently sold across Australia to top class judges such as Redwall Bloodstock for $200,000 and averaged $100,000 across the sales.
