Stellar Style - Astern x Runway Ready was purchased at the 2021 Inglis Classic sale as a $32,500 yearling.

Stella is a neat mid-sized filly with scope and balance with a beautiful head.

A sound as they come and fluent at the walk. Enjoys being in work with a lovely temperament and professional manner in all that she does.

The filly was bred by Grant Bloodstock of Silverdale Farm, a magnificently appointed property in the Southern Highlands. The farm has a wealth of experience in breeding thoroughbreds and it shows in Stella.

The sire Astern, son of international success sire Medaglia D’oro, truly a dominant sire line, himself a grandson of the immortal Sadler’s Wells.

The Dam Runway Ready, a talented race mare with 5 wins from 1200m to 1300m in just 12 starts including 3 in succession with a TAB highway victory at Randwick in the middle of that stretch. By Zoffany who made an immediate impact at stud in the UK as a source of speed.

The PEDIGREE: A strong and extensive black type family. Runway Ready is a 1/2 sister to group 2 winner Chill Party and to the Dam of G3 winning 2YO Rio Del Mar.

The family contains the tough half-brothers in G1 winning milers Titanic Jack and Sober Suit.

Stella already a winner you can see there is likely upside/ residual value in the coming years if success follows the family as it has done previously.

Our loss is your gain, circumstances mean the filly is for sale as our current training arrangement has been interrupted by a shortage of facilities and available track riders in Port Macquarie.

Early in the preparation this time in she gets to a suitable trip on the 22nd of August at Grafton and she is yours to go on with. Likely to get further than a mile opportunities aplenty going forward.

Only raced at 1500m on the one occasion scoring a dominant win coming from 10 lengths off them to break her maiden at Port Macquarie in nice style. Even though plagued by bad gates to this point she has placed behind a couple of nice ones and scored impressively to win.

Part of the ownership group have expressed an interest in retaining a share in racing the mare.
