Description

If you are looking for a mare with great Australian family, look no further than Pectin. She was a lightly raced city winning sprinter.

This Darley family has some of Australian Studbook’s best sires and broodmares scattered through Pectin’s pedigree. She is by the formidable broodmare sire in Commands and is out of 2yr old Group 1 winner in Preserve. She is a half sister to 2 black type horses in Safegaurd and Archives, and has the likes of Denman and Kiamichi in the 2nd dam.

She is not the biggest mare reaching 15.2 hands, but what she lacks in size she makes up in substance. She is a beautiful black/brown mare that has both in the shoulder and the rear.

Pectin is currently in foal to Eureka’s exciting 2nd sire Encryption, and is due to foal in 3 weeks time. Encryption will cover 120 mare again this season and with horses like Cifrado carrying the flag for the sire, now is the right time for a smart buyer to acquire a well bred mare in foal to this stallion.

Being by Commands, he is a multiple Group 1 broodmare sire including Politeness and new sites Captivant and Cosmic Force. Being in foal to encryption makes the resulting foal a close relation to Denman.

The decision to sell Pectin has not been taken lightly as she has been a terrific producer, however due to downsizing by our clients she is being offered for sale.

Pectin is currently located at a farm on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. She is available for inspection on request.
