Lovely type of mare. UNRACED. 4yo 16hh, Ready to go to the stallion of your choice.
One of the mighty Zabeel's finest sons - the unbeaten dual Gr.1 winner Reset - never had the large numbers of his rivals but what a stellar job he did at stud.
The Gr.1 Australian Guineas and Gr.1 Futurity Stakes winner was well represented by 514 winners and could really throw a good one with 35 of his sons and daughters being stakes winners.
Amongst that tally were five big race winners - and of the really BIG races too; Reset siring the winners of a Gr.1 Caulfield Cup (Fawkner), a Gr.1 W.S Cox Plate (Pinker Pinker), a Gr.1 VRC Derby (Rebel Raider), a Gr.1 VRC Oaks (Set Square) and a Gr.1 Epsom Handicap (Hauraki).
And now, like his sire before him, he is doing a great job as a broodmare sire with 13 stakes winners amongst the first 251 winners produced by his daughters.
Reset mares do not come onto the market too often and here is a nice chance to secure one of his daughters from an active family.
The unraced Upcycle is a half-sister to the recent Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman trained city winner EDITH who is building a nice record with her two wins from just five starts.
And what a great international family this is, Upcycle being a daughter of the imported Singspiel mare Fashion Note (who has youngsters by Harry Angel and Castelvecchio coming through) whose full sister Lahudood is the grandam of two absolute star gallopers!
BAAEED and Hukum.
The former, now at Shadwell Stud serving mares at a fee of £80,000 on the back of an amazing career that saw him win six Gr.1 races... defeated only once in 11 starts.
And the latter is one of the up-and-comers of UK racing, winning ten of his 15 starts including, in determined fashion, the recent Gr.1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.
These are just two of the Gr.1 stars from a family that has been producing topliners for generations, Upcycle also able to boast amongst her relations Nashwan, Nayef, Ghanaati, Shraaoh and the super star of Japanese racing - Deep Impact.
And delve a bit further back to find that this is a family of historic greats such as Round Table and Aureole - making Upcycle a very exciting mare to match up!
