Description
Ajamais is an imported French mare bred by Wertheimer brothers. She decends from one of their great and successful families. Her dam is the multiple group winning Fabulous Hostess who has produced High Maintenance herself a listed winner and dam of Solow (5G1 wins) and Lunch Lady (listed) and Hostessante a listed winner and dam of Colony Band (listed) and granddam of Colizeo (G3)
Ajamais is a neat mare 15.3 in height. She is slightly offset in front but doesn’t seem to throw it. She produces a very good looking foal with her progeny being sold for $200,000, $160,000, $140,000, and $120,000.
Her family is capable of producing a better than average racehorse. SOLOW is testament to that. His last eleven starts were in G1 races winning five of them. Wertheimers are still breeding from extensions of this family.
Ajamais has 3yo filly in training in SA. This Dissident filly has been given time to develop and mature. Ajamais has an impressive yearling colt that will go to the Adelaide yearling sale next year or be retained to race like his half sister
Ajamais has only been bred every second year since 2018 by choice to give her progeny the best chance. Stallion selection with Dissident hasn’t helped her commercial record.
Ajamais is a good natured quiet mare, very easy to handle and manage. She has never had any trouble foaling. She will be the first to walk up to you in the paddock. She has appreciated the years off and should go straight infoal for an early result next year. Regretful sale.
