Medium sized correct mare who has only been covered once with a PRIDE OF DUBAI yearling filly retained.
Three-time winning, half-sister to multiple Group winner, SIRILEO MISS.
Oh Cecelia is a daughter of proven Broodmare Sire, ZOFFANY and out of the GALILEO mare, She’s Sirius.
Not only does she carry some of the most potent European bloodlines in the world, but she is also a half-sister to multiple Stakes fillies inc the stakes-placed FASTNET ROCK mare, Sophia’s Choice and ovcourse the four-time Group winning mare SIRILEO MISS.
This family is guaranteed to continue to grow into the future, particularly with two stakes mares in the immediate 1st dam. At the 2023 Magic Millions Weanling Sale, Sophia’s Choice’s So You Think filly fetched $260,000 and was purchased by Aritisa Park, while she was covered in 2022 to boom 2YO Sire, DUNDEEL.
Another ½ sister filly worth noting is the 4x winning Press Statement mare, Notions, who was trained by Richard and Will Freedman.
SIRILEO MISS is a very well-credentialed, and tough racehorse. She had 6 starts as a 3YO, winning twice and was Group placed. As a four- and five-year-old, she claimed victories in the G2 Sunline Stakes (beating Revolutionary Miss), G3 Matron Stakes (beating Excelida and Barb Raider) and the G3 Ladies Day Vase (twice). Other Group and Stakes placings inc G3 Tesio Stakes (to My Whisper & Roots) and Ballarat Cup behind subsequent Group One winner, Atishu.
SIRILEO MISS looks to have a big Spring ahead of her yet again, she currently holds nominations for the G1 Caulfield Cup and the G1 Cox Plate.
Although we have seen a very limited number of runners by him in Australia, Oh Cecelia’s Sire, ZOFFANY, is the broodmare sire of 10 individual Stakes Horses, multiple Stakes winners and Group One-winning filly, TIGER TANAKA. Zoffany’s daughters have had 7 Australian starters for 3 winners.
