Elegant is a daughter of the very good stallion Epaulette – sire of 19 SW’s including Group 1 winners Daumier (MRC Blue Diamond Stakes), Soqrat (South Africa) and Red Lark (USA).

Elegant is a half-sister to Electric Girl, a dual Group 2 winner of $1.4 million. Electric Girl was a seriously good racemare. Apart from her two Sydney Group 2 wins, in the 2022/23 season she ran a very unlucky second (beaten 0.17 lengths) in the $2 million ATC The Invitation (1400m, Randwick) to Promise of Success, with Group 1 winner Nimalee (a record priced $3.6 million broodmare prospect) in third place. She also placed third in the Group 1 ATC Canterbury Stakes (1300m, Randwick) to the dual Group 1 winners Artorius and Imperatriz (beaten less than 1 length).

At this year’s Inglis Chairman’s Sale, Electric Girl was sold for $520,000 to well respected bloodstock agent Neil Jenkinson (FBAA). She is booked to visit the outstanding stallion prospect Anamoe in her first season at stud.

Elegant’s dam Electra, has a very good 2022 colt by Dubious, which has been accepted into the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast January Yearling Sale (Book 1). She is due to foal to Champion Sire Capitalist this season.

So with her dam Electra still producing great types and visiting high-class stallions, and with her half-sister Electric Girl likely to visit some of the best stallions at stud in Australia over the next several years, there is plenty of future upside potential for the buyer of Elegant.

Elegant has excellent bloodlines. Apart from being a half-sister to a Group 2 winner, her granddam is by the multiple Champion Australian Sire and Broodmare Sire Redoute’s Choice. Her third dam Autumn Lodge is a South African Group 2 winner. While her next dam Autumn Collection is by Champion NZ stallion Star Way, and a half-sister to South African Group 1 winner Mosszao.

Elegant’s sixth dam is the Blue Hen Feemoss. At stud Feemoss produced three Group 1 winners –
