Raging Bull is an honest G3-placed 5YO gelding by Bull Point.
While on paper his 2 wins from 23 starts might not seem impressive, this gelding ran 2nd in the G3 Manion Cup last prep and was a gallant 4th in the G1 Victoria Derby as a 3YO behind Hitotsu - where he just kept trying all the way to the line. In April 2022 he also ran 4th in the Listed VRC St Leger. (Replays attached)
With form like that, he has had to contend with a high Benchmark rating in subsequent seasons whilst racing in the very competitive Sydney Metropolitan circuit.
He is a winner at Rosehill over 1800m, has form over distances up to 2800m and two starts back ran 4th in the Listed Tatts Cup at Randwick. (Replays attached)
He was disappointing in the Newcastle Cup last start and connections feel the horse will find better form in interstate races, perhaps on the Country Cups circuit.
Currently rated BM86 in NSW.
His dam is a half sister to Hurdy Gurdy Man, a winner of the Hobart Cup.
