Description
This 2yo filly has strength about her with just a touch of attitude. She stands 15:2HH and has been broken into saddle, will need a refresher course when back in work. Overall, she is willing to put all her efforts into her work, and is good to catch, float and drench. X-rays available.
The filly has been paid up for the INGLIS race series.
The filly is by dual G1 winner GRUNT (NZ) a top 10 finisher in the first sires season list whose oldest progeny have just turned 3. From his first crop he has produced VEIGHT, the G2 VRC Sires Produce winner at 2, returning with a dominant win in the G3 MRC McNeil Stakes at 3, trained by Tony and Calvin McEvoy.
From the famed “white” family of the OPERA HOUSE (NZ), a three-quarter sister to powerhouse MIGHT AND POWER. The dam Utzon, sold for $120,000 at the 2018 Karaka National Yearling Sale. She won her maiden over 1200m and then immediately retired for a breeding career. Utzon herself a white mare, produced a white colt by Alabama Express in 2022. The filly, though not white herself could continue the legacy and produce a rare white foal making her an excellent breeding prospect.
The cross of O’REILLY (NZ) over ZABEEL (NZ) is running at over 6% stakes winners to runners, well above average. And this filly further adds to that cross being out of a ZABEEL (NZ) line mare. A 1200m to 1600m pedigree with classics written all over her.
