Description
Gifted Queen is a beautifully bred ZOUSTAR mare due to foal this year to Not A Single Doubt’s brilliantly fast son ANDERS. She is from a deep black type pedigree and is out of a half sister to the very fast Group Two winning juvenile Hips Don’t Lie, who in turn is the dam of two very well performed 2yos in LAKE GENEVA (placed in both the Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper) & ACROBAT (unbeaten Inglis Nursery winner).
She is also the grand dam of LEARNING TO FLY, the fantastic 2yo of last season who captured the Group Two Reisling Stakes and close to $1.5 million in earnings and looks sure to make her mark in this years 3yo ranks further boosting this pedigree’s stature. This is very much an early maturing family.
Unraced herself, Gifted Queen is the dam of one foal to race named Lucky Compass by the ever consistent source of winners Nicconi. He has had three starts running well on each occasion including when placed at his penultimate start for the talented young trainer Liam Howley. She has to further Nicconi offspring to race for her, which gives her every opportunity to get her broodmare career off to a fantastic start.
Gifted Queen is being sold in foal to the sharp son of Not A Single Doubt, ANDERS. A speedball on the racetrack with Ciaron Maher going as far as saying he is the fastest he’s ever trained! His wins in the Rosebud (defeating Ole Kirk) and race record breaking Group Three San Domenico had to be seen to be believed. His abundance of speed has led to him being one of the most patronised young stallions in the land with over 350 mares visiting him in his first two seasons.
It’s unsurprising that mares in foal to Anders have already been well sought after in the sale ring, with mares selling up to $230,000 and eight others fetching $100,000 or more! His first crop weanlings also saw some fantastic results with them selling for $130,000 at the Gold Coast and $120,000 in Melbourne….. a great return off an introductory fee of $16,500.
