Description

Smart progressive sprinter who is very green but has a ton of ability on dry tracks.

Palace Keys was bought as a completely untouched/unbroken 3yr old this time last year. Eventually we broke him in and he is presently in his first racing campaign. He is an extremely slow learner, his early runs took up a significant amount of the stewards reports, bucking his first start, running off the track his next etc all on very wet tracks which he’s show a disliking for.

He demonstrates an above average ability on the track which he’s starting to show now, his last 3 runs have been beaten a neck, winning by 4 lengths at Warrnambool and then running 3rd with 60kgs his last run, all in the space of 10 days, when again very green. He’s extremely sound, beautiful clean legs and very clean in the wind. He’s a very tough fella, you could tie him up or travel him for hours on end and he wouldn’t move an inch, but just needs a good horse person to fully and further educate him with regards to racing manners.

Very much a diamond in the rough as he hasn’t nearly hit his ceiling, shows no signs of training off so will be accepted in races in the next week.

15.1-15.2 a very strong sprinting type of horse who has only seen a good track once for a 4 length victory. Vet checks and inspection most welcome.
