Description

This attractive 4yo son of Almanzor was purchased at the NZB Karaka sale of 2021 for $200,000 but hasn’t really adapted to the hustle and bustle of training at Flemington.

Even though trialling well on three separate occasions his immaturity hasn’t really allowed him to blossom into a professional race horse, in fact in his first start at Sale he virtually stopped mid race for no particular reason. His jockey thought there was something amiss or he had injured himself.

The owner of this horse has been very patient with his progress and even though he had a small bone chip removed from his off front knee ( vet report attached )he is now starting impress and after two trials over 800 metres and 1600 metres he is ready to go to the races.

His sire Almanzor won 8 of his 11 starts including the Prix Du Jockey Club ( the French Derby ) and his dam Miss Scarlatti also a very talented mare ran second in the Norman Robinson, the Wakeful and the Oaks. If Samantha Miss hadn’t been racing at the same time things may have been different.

Freddy Cut In hasn’t got near his ideal distance of 2000 metres plus yet and maybe running in the longer staying races or even being trained as a jumper may see him reach his true potential. This horse is easy to handle and saddle, loads easily and is settled at the races, he is a big strong horse and has no vices at all. I am sure his true potential could be reached in a lesser jurisdiction.
