Description
WHOLESOME is a 4yo mare with only the one start under her belt. Bred to stay by the Group 1 winner RELIABLE MAN, producer of outstanding fillies and mares such as MIAMI BOUND, INSPIRATIONAL GIRL, RELIABLE WOMAN and ANNAVISTO.
She is out of a CURLIN mare who hails from the same American family as BIG BROWN, winner of the Group 1 Kentucky Derby and Group 1 Preakness Stakes, two of the three races in the US Triple Crown. He also successfully stood at stud.
WHOLESOME is easy to handle and do anything with and has been given plenty of time to fully mature. She is also a stunning looker and a lovely horse to be around. She has shown promise in her work and although disappointing in her one start, she atoned with a second in her subsequent jump out at Ballarat. Her breeding would suggest that she will appreciate racing over more ground. All footage can be viewed on Racing.com.
She felt her shins after the jump out and is in the paddock and has had no other soundness issues. Her owners are looking to concentrate on their other horses and she will be well suited to an easier jurisdiction.
