Description
ARROW SONG offers breeders an exciting opportunity to secure a metropolitan winning daughter of the wonderful broodmare sire WAR CHANT. By far and away the best broodmare sire to ever stand in Western Australia, War Chant has the impeccable record of having had his daughters produce no less than 71 stakes horses to date and over $56 million in prize earnings globally. The daughters of War Chant have produced horses to win at the elite level on various surfaces and in both hemispheres, including a Kentucky Derby winner, a Middle Park Stakes and Prix Morny winner showing just how influential he has been around the world. In Australia we have also seen his daughters (Silent Sedition - bred in WA) sell for up to $1.5million off the track as breeding prospects, which again shows the demand for this sireline.
Arrow Song is a full sister to the stakes performed Hong Kong $5 million earner Apache Pass who continues to perform well in the most competitive racing jurisdiction in the world. This pedigree continues to be in demand with the half brother to Arrow Song selling for $75k at the 2023 Perth Magic Millions Sale and importantly for many years this pedigree has been able to produce winners of so many feature races. Magic Millions winners, Perth Cup winners and many more make this one of the better WA families, all descending from this wonderful 'Special Harmony' pedigree.
The pedigree continues to be bred to not only the best stallions in the west, but a number of the females in the family are being bred to many of the nations more commercial stallions in the east. Currently, females in the family are in foal or being bred this season to Wootton Bassett, Wild Ruler, Playing God, Ducimus etc.
Arrow Song is a metro winner and has been four times placed earning just shy of $50k and finished second the start before last, following that up with a 5th at her most recent run on the 11th of October. It’s fair to say Arrow Song is probably looking for a change of environment and may be best suited to a country / provincial stable. She does have good residual fitness to go on with having raced just over a fortnight ago should her new connections wish to carry on racing her.
Offered for genuine sale, Arrow Song is a decent type of mare standing 16hh and would be a welcome addition to any racing stable and or broodmare band. The mare has been seen to windsuck.
