CAREER SUMMARY
Lightly raced son of ROMAN EMPEROR (NZ)
Outstanding win first up this preparation at Wagga Wagga on 31 August 2023 in a Country Boosted Showcase maiden plate over 1200m. This race appears to be a form race with the horses running third and fourth both winning their next starts.
Career peak runs have been on soft tracks between 1200-1600m.
RECENT FORM
(3/11) Jumped nicely in a CL1 1200m at Wagga but they were too sharp for him over the short distance. Needs it further.
(14/10) Never comfortable in a BM50 1400m at Forbes. The slow tempo didn’t suit, and he was just left off the bridle when they sprinted at the 450m. Also, he didn't appreciate the firm track and looking for give in the ground.
In hindsight, we should have stuck to 1600m after his Cootamundra run on 1 October. While his last two runs over unsuitable distances have been disappointing, this horse has buckets of ability, as demonstrated by his Wagga win on 31 August. Go to the Racing NSW website to watch the replay.
FUTURE PLANS
Lightly raced, open to further upside as he matures into a genuine staying type.
His data points suggest he'll relish soft tracks over 1600m or further.
His data points suggest he could be competitive in CL1, CL2 & BM58 grade in North QLD or Western NSW.
