Description
Blase is offered for sale as a young broodmare. Being imported directly from New Zealand earlier this year, she presents good attractive pedigree in Australian breeding market. Her Dam Paris is currently retained by Pencarrow stud (NZ), has upcoming horses by Almanzor, Vadamos, Iffraaj and Super Seth. Blase is an attractive mare with fully sound conformation, no injuries and a good athletic action. She has a good quiet nature, good medium size (16.0 hh). This young mare is a daughter of Pins who is a proven sire of 87 stakes winners including dual classic winning filly Katie Lee. He is also an established force as a broodmare sire being damsire of the outstanding performers Probabeel, Savvy Coup and Savy yong blonk.. Pins is damsire of 92 stakes winners of $73 million in stakes. He was champion New Zealand Broodmare sire in the 2019/20 season. His daughters have developed an affinity with both Savabeel and Ocean Park. Pins mares have left 15 individual stakes winners by Savabeel alone. With Savabeel now represented by well credentialled sons in Embellish, Noverre and Mo'unga there will be many opportunities to follow this cross to many stations in the future. This mares dam is Paris, a daughter of legendry sire More Than Ready who is also well established as a champion broodmare sire. He is damsire of 248 stakes winners of $233 million. Second dam, Insouciant, won the Group 1 One Thousand Guineas and was awarded the champion 3 year old filly title in 2007. There are two further winners of the Classic One Thousand Guineas on the pedigree page in Media Sensation and Dorabella. This is a well established Pencarrow stud family tracing back to foundation mare Our Lafite (Sovereign Edition) who won the Wakeful stakes (Gr2) and ran second in the VRC Oaks (Gr1). Blase also offers a great opportunity to breed back to the Danehill line as the pedigree carries only one strain of that great stallion in the fourth remove of the grid.
