5% SHARE IN A HORSE WHO WILL BE TRIALLING IN THE NEW YEAR
Fighting Edge is a 4 year old maiden. He is a horse that showed a good level of ability having been tested in the VOBIS Gold Rush, a $130,000 race at Caulfield and the $125,000 VOBIS Gold Elvstroem where he was beaten by stakes winner Quang Tri and VOBIS Showdown winner Kings Consort. He was placed second behind Oceans Above who was a subsequent winner at Flemington and then third to Alsonso who ran third in a stakes race over the carnival.
He was fair hitting the line at Pakenham where he just didn’t have the fitness to run out the mile and in a race dominated by those up on pace. He was then good at Kilmore with the feedback being he didn’t necessarily handle the track but still ran well enough. He has been given a freshen up now and will benefit with the summer sun on his back and in the green grassy paddocks.
He did have surgery while he was spelling in March but has since raced and it is no longer an issue.
He will return to the stable in the next three weeks and be back up and trialling in the new year. Mat Ellerton is a great, patient trainer who is suited to a horse like Fighting Edge as he will place him well and is of the opinion he will win races.
The owner is selling their share as they only race fillies and colts

New owners will fall under their management - as per the usual terms of the FLR syndicate agreement.
