Beautiful CAPITALIST mare, in-foal to superstar sire TORONADO!
SOFONISBA is a very good-looking daughter of G1 Golden Slipper winner and proven G1 sire CAPITALIST. She has a very precocious pedigree, being a ½ relation to 2yo city winner D’ARBANVILLE and a granddaughter of 2yo Stakes winner AMERICA NOVA.
SOFONISBA’s 3yo full brother CAP CAVOUR is set to hit the track soon after a handful of promising trials. The most recent trial he finished 3L behind undefeated rising star TWAIN’s ANGEL who won on debut by 3L a fortnight later.
SOFONISBA’s dam LA RENAISSANCE has been very well supported at stud to date. She was covered by one of Australia’s hottest young sires in TASSORT this season and currently has a colt foal at food by WOOTTON BASSETT’s fastest son WOODED as well as a yearling by Champion sire WRITTEN TYCOON.
LA RENAISSANCE is a full sister to G2 Expressway Stakes winner and multiple G1 placegetter WEARY as well as French & American G3 winner STELLAR PATH. She is also a ½ sister to Champion 3yo in Italy NYALETI, a G2 winner and multiple G1 placegetter.
