Snappy Sun is a 4yo unraced gelding by FIGHTING SUN and a half brother to MADAM ROUGE !!!!!!
Purchased in March 2021 as a yearling, SNAPPY SUN has been given time as he is a massive horse that stands at 17HH & 580kgs. All the hard work and education has been done with this late maturing gelding, that is only being sold to dissolve a partnership.
He wasn’t touched until he was a 3yo and has had two preparations with his last prep culminating into three recent trials. He is still very green and this has shown in his trials, with his final trial being more competitive with going to the lead before tiring.
SNAPPY SUN is easy to handle, travels well on a truck & is easy to shoe. He would benefit from being in a larger training establishment, where he can work with other horses more often. There is no doubt that he can go on and improve on what he is today given the right opportunity.
If breeding and pedigree is anything to go by, he is an exciting prospect ……….
His dam CABERNET is a listed winning & group placed AL MAHER mare that is also the dam of MADAM ROUGE, winner of 6 races and $1.3million !!!!
MADAM ROUGE was sold for $2.4 million as a broodmare & her first yearling has sold at this years Magic Millions for $1.7 million to GAI WATERHOUSE.

PLEASE NOTE: In March 2021 this horse was diagnosed as a roarer when being sold by Sun Stud as a yearling. After having time to mature, we have not had an issue with his wind and have not performed any surgery.
