Description
Seeking Clarity has been a long-term project for the Cumani Racing stable. He was always an attractive, strong, and free-moving horse but as a 2yo he was injury prone and had to have long periods on the sidelines with suspensory branch trouble. Time, patience, and rehabilitation training has seen him be a very sound 4yo; in fact, he has now had 3 Jump Outs and 4 races without any hint of soreness.
Ultimately, however, it seems that he is not competitive enough to race in Victoria and sadly we must let him go to someone, in a weaker racing district, who has the time and patience to persevere and discover what track and distance suits him best. He is built like a sprinter but has the action of a stayer. There is a distance and a track out there that will work perfectly for him. Quick on his toes and frisky as a colt he has now mellowed into a good natured 4 year old. He’s an easy ride, and as you can see in the video, sound and well. He is ready to race on or spell over the rest of the summer.
His pedigree is an impressive one. He’s a son of J.J. Atkins and Caulfield Guineas winner Press Statement and hails from the family of Nothin’ Leica Dane (Vic Derby & ATC Spring Champion winner), Duelled (MVRC AAMI Vase winner) and Thrilling Day (2nd in the NZ 1000 Guineas).
He’s a full brother to two time winner Mistaken Identity.
