Description

This yearling colt is out of the Listed performer and producer Quench The Thirst and is from the family of Redoute’s Choice.

Quench The Thirst is a daughter of four-time Champion Broodmare sire Encosta De Lago. Encosta De Lago’s daughters have now produced 19 Group 1 winners. Quench The Thirst herself sold for $1.5 million through the Magic Millions Broodmare sale. An excellent producer, Quench The Thirst has had several high-priced yearlings including the Listed Incognitus Stakes winner Sangria who was also a $650,000 yearling. Quench The Thirst’s progeny have gone into the stables of top trainers such as Peter and Paul Snowden, Annabel Neasham – who has her current three year old Watermelon (Russian Revolution) and Peter Moody/Katherine Coleman - who have the current two year old Winning Toast (I Am Invincible).

This colt is by Flying Artie whose progeny include the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes & Group 1 Canterbury Stakes winner Artorius, now standing his first season at Newgate. Another of Flying Artie’s notable progeny include the talented Henry Dwyer trained Asfoora who has multiple Group 2 wins and Group 1 placings.

This colts is from one of the best families in the Australasian Stud Book and includes the likes of Redoute’s Choice, Platinum Scissors, Manhattan Rain, Meuse & Shoals.
