Description

Attractive, easy to handle, correct Colt from Blue Diamond Prelude winner, Hanseatic. Hanseatic finished second in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes, 2nd in the Gr3 Blue Sapphire and 4th in the Gr2 Mittys McEwen Stakes. His oldest progeny are yearlings.

This colt is the first foal for Starspangledbanner mare Sodalicious. She’s a daughter of the very good American mare Wild Mia. A Stakes winner on the turf at two, Wild Mia also placed second in the Group Two Churchill Downs Mrs Revere Stakes and the Group Two Santa Anita Santa Ana Stakes. This is also the immediate family of Horse of The Year and Champion Three-Year-Old Second Reality.

This Colt received a place in Inglis’ Melbourne Yearlings sales in March. He was only withdrawn due to the cost of the sales prep fees. VOBIS Silver nominated. VOBIS Gold eligible.

Hanseatic Yearling Colts sold for up to $375k at Gold Coast Magic Millions and averaged $166k (including passed in figure to be conservative), so he could be a good opportunity to pinhook at Ready to Run for a trainer, if you didn’t want to retain and race.
