American mares have well and truly been making their mark in Australia in recent times and it is a bonus to find one by a proven stallion in this part of the world out of a half sister to multiple Group winner in Sydney and Melbourne.
As in this case with this stunning looking mare, Moonquake being a daughter of Medaglia d'Oro who did a great job shuttling to Australia on 8 occasions. The sire of 178 stakes winners including Hong Kong superstar Golden Sixty and 25 other elite level winners, he is also doing a great job as a broodmare sire.
In fact his daughters have already produced 100 stakes winners, 8 of those successful in Group 1 company.
Moonquake is the daughter of the highly successful broodmare Debonnaire, a three time Anabaa winner who has produced 5 winners, 3 black type performers including the prolific galloper in Hartnell.
Hartnell won 13 times and amassed over $7.4 million in prize money, would have been a lot more if he didn't keep running into Winx.
