Description
NOTIONS – Benchmark 71 Mare: Canterbury Winner, Dual Rosehill Saturday Placed & Kenso Placed. 4 Wins (1200m – 1900m) and 4 placings from 15 starts – Banked a cheque in all 15 starts to date.

9 months ago, as she resumed from a spell over 1300m for a 3rd on a Heavy track at Rosehill, NOTIONS suffered an injury to her right fore suspensory. The Veterinary advise was a recommendation she receive a 6-month spell, and it was expected to have a good prognosis.
Our Co-Ownership Team, aware of how much talent she has, and truly believing the best is still in front of her, elected to push on and gave her an extended spell to allow maximum opportunity to recover.
She resumed training on 27 November, and everything was proceeding well, then 4 weeks ago, as she was going through the final phase of her foundation fitness stage of training, it was noted that she had some mild changes to original injury site. Naturally, we took a very cautious approach and stopped immediately, and our vet recommended to be safe rather than sorry, stop and spell again.
So, this recommendation was put forward to the co-ownership team to vote which way they wanted to go. Either sell or spell and the vote of the majority would carry.
In a close decision, patience has diminished, and this time the majority vote by the co-ownership team was to sell NOTIONS and roll over into one of the new yearlings which Dynamic Syndications have purchased in 2024. This is the reason NOTIONS is now available for your consideration.
Importantly, NOTIONS has a tremendous pedigree page behind her, and her appeal post race career in the breeding barn is assured. NOTIONS is a City winning half-sister to excellent racemare SIRILEO MISS (Pride of Dubai) – Gr2 and three-time Gr3 Winner & $963,400. Also, NOTIONS is the half-sister to stakes-placed SOPHIA’S CHOICE. From the winning mare SHE’S SIRIUS (Galileo) who has produced 8 foals to race for 7 winners & 1 placed. SHE’S SIRIUS is a half-sister to 2yo Stakes Winner SPECTROLITE.
NOTIONS is currently spelling at Bimbadeen Park, Werombi, NSW and may be inspected / vetted at the property prior to the conclusion of the auction sale by arrangement though our office.
