Description
My family and I have been breeding for over 25years and we usually breed to race ourselves.
With the recent passing of my father, my family and I have decided to scale back on breeding and concentrate on racing our current crop of young horses.
We have bred Bonita , her mother Our Jen, her grand dame Our Crowned Dancer and her great grand dam Another Northern.
Over the years a lot of fun and success. All our progeny have been sterling and sound types.
The above mare Bonita was Our Jens first foal and we had a lot of success with her winner 5 x races and numerous placings.
In breeding, Bonita’s first foal is a beautiful filly by Exoshere named Senalda (photos available upon request) and she is currently in work with Trainer Mark Howard at Wyong and we expect her to be racing in the coming weeks. She is a sound horse with a great temperament as we like be patient with our young horses to give them every opportunity to succeed and race on for many years.
Bonita’s 2nd foal is a 2year old gelding by Your Song (photos available upon request). He is a lovely big type with a great temperament. He is currently enjoying his first preparation with Trainer Mark Howard at Wyong.
Bonita is a beautiful maternal broodmare. Unfortunately she suffered an eye injury with her Your Song colt at foot and subsequently lost an eye. She made a full recover and raised the Your Song colt and the recent Tassort filly with no impediment.
Her 3rd foal is the Tassort filly pictured. She is a beautiful type as you can see and was born on 4th November 2023.
Tassort has made a fantastic start to his career as a stallion, with his progeny both well received in the sale ring and hitting the ground running on the racetracks.
So far this year his yearling fillies have sold for up to $350,000 through the sale ring and have been well sought after by some top class judges.
From his first crop he has had 12 starters to date he has produced 4 individual winners, one of which is a stakes winner in his crack filly MANAAL who won the Group 3 Gimcrack and runner up in the Group 3 Widden Stakes.
He is a young stallion that is really making his mark on the bloodstock industry.
