Description

CALYX is off to an outstanding start to his stud career and was one of the Leading First Season Sires in both Ireland and the UK last season. He has already sired 30 individual winners in the Northern hemisphere, with six of those being Stakes performed, including the Group winners CLASSIC FLOWER, PERSIAN DREAMER and ZONA VERDE.

CALYX is off to an equally promising start in Australia this season with his first crop two-year-olds. From just five runners here he has already sired the smart debut city winner GETAFIX who holds nominations for both the Group One Golden Slipper and the Group One Inglis Sires’, and he has also sired the promising juveniles HUSK and EARTHSTORM who both placed at city level in their only starts to-date.

This filly is out of the city-winning STREET CRY mare CRY FOR PEACE, whose first two foals are currently racing successfully. She also has an unraced two-year-old colt by SAXON WARRIOR in training with Brett Cavanough.
