VANILLI
A winning 6Y0 daughter of the terrific More Than Ready stallion Better Than Ready, Vanilli is one of the four winners (from as many foals) for the Reset mare Purple Royale whose half-brother is the triple Gr.1 winning Hong Kong star Able Friend.
Purple Royale is a daughter of the stakes winning Volksraad mare Ponte Piccolo, dam not only of Able Friend but grandam of the stakes winner Daytona Red.
Her dam Baronia also fared very well at stud - only four foals, three to race - two stakes winners; the other being the South African based Gr.1 winner Global News.
This is one of Australasia's most prolific families, its members including the Gr.1 gallopers Reward For Effort, Turffontein, Brawny Spirit, Joker's Wild, Hit The Roof, Alynda, Ivory's Irish and Apercu.
And it is a family that will continue to thrive with Vanilli's close relations in recent times visiting the likes of Hitotsu, Maurice, Alabama Express, Brazen Beau, Dirty Work and Zousain.
A good natured, agile and quiet mare who is good to catch and float, Vanilli is being sold in foal to the exciting young stallion De Gaulle - a regally bred son of the recently retired Exceed And Excel and the Gr.1 mare Response; also dam of the Golden Slipper winner Estijaab and the Gr.3 speedster Remarque.
Her foal will be - like two of Exceed And Excel's finest grandsons Gold Trip and Thunder Snow - line-bred to the terrific mare My Charmer and will be bred on the same highly successful Exceed And Excel/Lonhro cross as the Gr.1 winners Golden Mile, Savatoxl and Bounding.
