Description
Dancarina (5 m Sebring – Dance For Me, by Commands) is being sold as a broodmare proposition.
Impressive winning her second start, over 1400 metres at Ruakaka, Dancarina went on to win three times, clocking fastest last 600m at the meeting on a couple of occasions, including 32.0 when she won over 1000 metres at Riccarton.
Most recently when trialling on 23 January at Taupo, she went forward to lead off the rail and sustained a strong gallop for close second.
Very attractive mare with a lovely pedigree, Dancarina is by top-class Australian two-year-old and Golden Slipper (Gr. 1, 1200m) winner Sebring (More Than Ready), the sire of multiple Group One winners Fangirl, Nettoyer, Criterion, and the stallion Dissident, among his progeny to win over 130 stakes races.
Dam Dance For Me (Commands) won twice to 1400 metres in Australia, while second dam Just Dancing, by Fusiachi Pegasus, was a very well performed Group Two winner that also finished third in Arrowfield Stud Stakes (Gr. 1, 1200m) and Surround Stakes (Gr. 1, 1400m), before producing eight individual winners of 23 races.
Third dam Ballroom Babe (Citidancer) was Champion 2YO Filly in NZ, after winning both the Ellerslie Sires’ Produce Stakes (Gr. 1,1400m) and Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes (Gr. 1,1400m) by a combined total of 23 lengths, before winning the Captain Cook Stakes (Gr. 1, 1600m) and Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes (Gr. 2, 1600m).
At stud, Ballroom Babe left six individual winners of 26 races including Group Three winner Tahni Girl (Redoute’s Choice) and Hong Kong Group Three winner Hidden Dragon (Danehill).
Dancarina carries a Danehill cross on the dam side Sebring and sire line of Dance For Me. She is on the market unreserved
Noye that in Jan 2023, this Mare had surgery left fore fetlock to remove a lesion - full recovery and has raced successfully since
