Description
FLOSTAR is out of the FASTNET ROCK mare FLOKKATI who was a well performed race mare having won at metro level and placing twice at stakes level running second in the Listed ATC James HB Carr Stakes and second in the Listed MVRC St Albans Stakes.
FLOSTAR herself was a 4x time winner, all at 1100m. She earned close to $130,000 in prizemoney including running 4th at stakes level in the Listed SAJC Lightning Stakes.
FLOSTAR is in foal to the ever-consistent stallion KERMADEC (DLS: 29/10/2023) who has produced 4.2% stakes winners to runners with a G1 winner in each of his crops to date, including MONTEFELIA, WILLOWY, TUVALU and AMOKURA amongst a number of further stakes horses.
FLOSTAR throws stunning types, with her first foal by MAGNUS being an August yearling. An impressive individual, she will race in partnership with the in-form stable of Tony and Calvin McEvoy. The weanling full brother is also being retained to race as he too is a cracking type.
FLOSTAR herself is an imposing mare with a real ZOUSTAR quality about her. Fresh to the broodmare sire ranks, ZOUSTAR has had 3x winners to date including G3 Canberra RC Black Opal Stakes winner HOLMES A COURT. His stats will only improve on the 6.7% stakes winners to runners as he builds on the quality progeny he produced heading to the breeding barn.
FLOSTAR’s family is littered with stakes winners including the G2 VRC Maribyrnong Plate winner THE HEAVYWEIGHT, as well as HAPPY STRIKE, BORN WESTERN, MALIBU STYLE, EXELDORA and the superior stallion ZEDRICH.
