Description
LIBIAMO is a city winning WRITTEN TYCOON mare who is in foal to Newgate’s RUSSIAN REVOLUTION on a lovely early cover!
WRITTEN TYCOON had a phenomenal weekend winning the G1 Golden Slipper with LADY OF CAMELOT and GUMDROPS taking out the G3 Typhoon Tracy.
LIBIAMO won over $110,000 on the track and is a beautiful type physically, having won on debut as a 2yo. Her quality first up run was enough to encourage the stable to look to a stakes race where she then ran in the G3 Quezette followed by the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes in her first preparation.
From her 9x career starts, her ability was so highly regarded she ran in 6x races at stakes level! Her 5th placing in the Listed Alinghi Stakes was a blinder, getting caught lengths off them but motoring home running the fastest 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m splits for the entire field.
Such is her ability, in her debut run she defeated the likes of ZAPATEO who has gone on to win a Group 2, three Group 3’s and a Listed race. Including placing in the G1 Sangster and the G1 Goodwood. She also defeated horses such as ARCADED (G2 winner), WRITTEN BEAUTY (G3 winner) as well as TYCOON HUMMA and LEMPICKA (both Listed winners) - indicating that LIBIAMO was a quality filly racing against some serious company!

LIBIAMO is out of the stakes winning FINE BUBBLES and is a half-sister to the G3 ATC Breeders’ Plate place-getter COVERT OPS. Her half-brother by I AM INVINCIBLE (MOJAVE DESERT) realised $950,000 as a yearling and has since been sold to Hong Kong to race for David Hayes after his last start city win during the 2023 Spring Carnival. Her second dam PEKALAN is also a stakes winner and the family goes back to the likes of The Everest winner YES YES YES, as well as IN HER TIME.
LIBIAMO has been set up for great success as a broodmare, with a first cover pregnancy to RUSSIAN REVOLUTION and her date of last service being 01/09/2023. Standing at the highly successful Newgate Farm, RUSSIAN REVOLUTION stood for $88,000 in the 2023 season. Her dam FINE BUBBLES has an I AM INVINCIBLE colt yearling to go on with and is in foal to ANAMOE (DLS: 16/09/2023).
RUSSIAN REVOLUTION was crowned Champion First and Second season sire, leading across the board in earnings, winners and stakes wins in both seasons. The only other living stallion to achieve this feat was EXCEED AND EXCEL on his way to becoming a Champion Sire in Australia.
