Description
Diamil is a six-year-old gelding by Irish stallion Awtaad out of winning mare Diylawa (Mastercraftsman). The gelding is a three-time stakes winner including the G3 Summer Cup and G3 JRA Plate, whilst accumulating over $650k in prize money from thirty starts. The Irish import is very adaptable, winning on all types of track conditions, handling both ways of going and the ability of staying up to ten furlongs with the possibility of 2400m. The son of Awtaad currently has a NSW benchmark rating of 101.
Unfortunately following his most recent run at Randwick on the 9th March he was found to have a grade 2-3 linear tear of the right hind lateral suspensory branch, attached is the full veterinary report. He has been on box rest since these findings and has been treated according to the recommendations. The prognosis of the injury is likely to be 8-9 months before return to full work.
Should Diamil make a full recovery he would make a great addition to any metropolitan stable being very honest and easy to train.
