Description
Darren as this horse is affectionately known is a rare kind of thoroughbred. This sweet gelding has been with his owner/breeder his whole life. His current owner has one thoroughbred mare who he bred to Inference in 2020 whose service he received as part of his over time package. After he was foaled down Darren was raised in the hills of the Great Dividing Range, enjoying the mountain pasture amongst a herd of many shapes and sizes. He has received a large amount of attention and education as a result of being a family horse. As a yearling he was broken in, which he took in his stride, which is pretty much how this horse takes everything. He is as quiet as a thoroughbred comes having been exposed to tractors, dogs etc as part of small farm life.
Since being broken in he has been through multiple education preparations and has been up to evens. He has worked by himself, along side other horses and has jumped out of the barriers, but has not had an offical trial. He just requires the finishing touches to get him to a trial and the races. He is by Inference who is a most exceptional looking stallions and has inherited his good looks and beautiful So You Think forelock. Inference has done a good job at stud from limited opportunities and like himself his progeny only get better as they get older.
Adopted Opinion was herself a winner and showed plenty of speed and tenacity.
Darren stands at 16hh and is a very well balanced and strong gelding. He is currently out of work and has been for about a month. He does very well in the paddock and does not require much feed at all to maintain exceptional condition. The owner would like to note that he would be interested in taking the horse after he has retired, hopefully after a long and successful career!
