Description
Evelyn May is a talented three-year-old filly by Sacred Falls from the well related Zabeel mare, Zaburn. This filly hails from a tough stakes winning pedigree with the likes of Happy Hippy and Spiritual Pursuit being half relations to the dam. Also featured on the page is the two time Group 1 winner Nortoire, the gelding recorded eight overall wins to go along with sixteen minor placings, several of those at stakes level.
The daughter of Sacred Falls has had three career starts to date indicating nice ability at all outings, the filly ran second to subsequent Group 1 winner King Colorado at Kembla Grange over 1400m beaten 1.5L at start number two.
Unfortunately following a routine piece of trackwork Evelyn May sustained a grade 3-4 tear of her right fore tendon, attached is the vet report. The likely period of rehabilitation is 9-12 months before returning to full training. Should she be able to make a full recovery she would be a very nice addition to any stable, being very talented and able to make her way through the grades.
The filly also holds residual value as a broodmare being well related, a very attractive type with a lovely attitude.
Evelyn May has been on box rest since the injury and has been treated according to the recommendations.
