Description

Took is a Giants Causeway mare out of the Unbridled’s Song producer Good Vibes, dam of international stakes winners Intelligence Cross and Sweet Orange. She has had 3 of her progeny to the track, all of them winners.

We purchased Took in foal to Calyx, with the colt subsequently selling at Melbourne Premier to Mick Price and OTI for $180,000. Her subsequent colts by Omaha Beach and Zousain we have retained to race, and both are sound lovely types that we hope will do a job for us on the racetrack.

Her Zousain foal was late October, so we decided to give her a rest year for an early cover in 2024. Our farm cannot support the number of mares we currently have, so we have been reducing stock numbers to a level our pastures can handle. Took is being sold as part of this general reduction and is in good condition and has historically been a very productive broodmare.

Took has no known issues and presents with an interesting pedigree for Australian breeders.
