Description
This yearling filly is a half-sister to city winner Zakiyya ($260,000 Magic Millions January yearling, Star Thoroughbreds/Randwick Bloodstock), winner of her last two starts including at Doomben for Chris Waller.
Her 3YO half-brother Zerkhan by Real Steel ($200,000 Inglis Classic yearling, Duncan Ramage & John Thompson) won impressively at Hawkesbury by 1.4L on Thursday 18th April. He was runner up in his 3 prior starts this season: twice by a nose in Super Maidens and at Canterbury.
Her 2YO full sister Khamis (Kris Lees) placed in a trial to a filly that ran 0.5L 2nd in a Super 2YO Maiden, ahead of Anode who is dual Group-placed & runs in the G1 Champagne S.
Zerkela is a half-sister to Horse of the Year Zarkava, 5-time G1 winner including the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and now the dam of G1 winner Zarak.
By the sire of Sea The Stars, Zerkela is closely related to his son Zeyrek, multiple Group winner for Hawkes Racing including the G3 Craven Plate this season.
Sire of 57 winners in 2023/24 including Caulfield G3 winner Vagrant, Pariah is also the sire of dual G2 winner Swiss Exile & 2YO stakes-placed Runaway Belle.
