Description
TORONADO x ELEESHA ‘ 22 FILLY
This filly was catalogued as lot 4 at the 2024 Inglis Easter sale, however required a little more time to grow out and was not prepped for the sale. She is a quality filly with the trademark TORONADO walk, great muscle, good strength and scope, she is a beautiful blank canvas ready to take to the breakers and race in your colours!
This filly is VOBIS Silver and VOBIS Sires nominated making her a great prospect for the VOBIS bonus races in Victoria. Being VOBIS Sires nominated she is also eligible for the $1million Showdown – a race solely for Victorian sired 2YO’s.
TORONADO is a prominent Victorian sire having produced 37 stakes winners including the likes of G1 stars MASKED CRUSADER, MARIAMIA, SHELBY SIXTYSIX, STILL A STAR, AFFAIR TO REMEMBER, TREASURED STAR and more.
ELEESHA is by the great ENCOSTA DE LAGO who as a broodmare sire has produced 162 individual stakes winners including G1 winners ALLIGATOR BLOOD, HAPPY CLAPPER, FANGIRL, IMPENDING, MARIAMIA, LADY LAGUNA, INVADER and plenty of others!
ELEESHA hails from a quality family being a half-sister to Champion 2YO filly in Australia in that of 6-time winning and multiple G1 winner FASHIONS AFIELD who won close to $2million on the racetrack including the G1 AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes and G1 Flight Stakes. ELEESHA is also a half-sister to KISS AND MAKE UP who won the G2 ATC Todman Stakes.
This yearling filly is also a half-sister to the stakes winning and Joint NZ Bloodstock Filly of the year IMELDA MARY as well as the stakes placed MOUNTAIN GUEST who is by TARZINO and in the stable of John Sargent at Randwick. Her 2YO half-sister by DUNDEEL was a stunning filly currently in the stable of Bjorn Baker.
Attached to this ad is her x-rays report from her surveys as a weanling in September. She didn’t make it to the point of having her yearling sale prep x-rays completed. Also attached is her scope report, the video can be viewed upon request if required.
