Description
A well balanced, attractive colt by the exciting first crop sire, PORTLAND SKY. This colt is the first foal out of the Capitalist mare, Sky Castle, a winner on debut as a 2yo, she had just the five starts. She, in turn is closely related to champion 3yo and now successful sire, TRAPEZE ARTIST – a 4-time Group 1 winner and already a Group 1 producing sire. Sky Castle is now carrying in foal to the highly commercial JACQUINOT and will continue to be mated to top tier stallions.
This is also the family of the $1.5 million earning Group 1 winner CRAWL and the extremely talented 2&3yo MARCHING.
This colt is by the incredibly fast PORTLAND SKY and is from his first crop. Portland Sky was the winner for four races from just ten starts. A winner on debut, he then went onto defeat star sprinter Bella Nipotina in the Group 3 Red Anchor Stakes. He reached the pinnacle when winning the time honored and sire making Group 1 Oakleigh Plate as a 3yo, which few have managed to achieve, but those that have, have gone onto be successful sires – Snitzel, Fastnet Rock and Starspangledbanner! Portland Sky is Deep Field’s best performed son at stud and has a superb profile to be a highly commercial sire, especially with his first crop of outstanding foals
