Young mare from Champion Alinghi’s family in foal to a first season sire
A $325,000 Magic Millions yearling, Jawaani was placed twice at three in 4 career starts for Chris Waller before injury intervened.
Her dam Lady Moura is a full sister to the late Beneteau, sire of 22 stakes performers among 107 runners from his only two crops.
Jawaani’s siblings have sold as yearlings for up to $525,000 while her half-brother Nondisclosure topped the 2022 Inglis Ready To Run Sale at $750,000 and is a winner from 3 starts for Ciaron Maher.
Jawaani is a daughter of Champion 2YO and G1 sire Shalaa, sire of 16 stakeswinners to date.
Her first foal is a weanling colt by Champion Japanese 2YO Admire Mars and she sells in foal on an early cover to Hitotsu (by Maurice), the first horse since 1994 to complete the Victoria Derby/Australian Guineas/Australian Derby treble, winning all three Group 1 Classics in succession.
